About US
Isshin-ryu Karate originated in Okinawa, and was introduced into the United States in the mid 1950's. It is a combination of other styles of open-handed martial arts. It is widly taught around the world, but most branches are currently in the U.S.*
Our highly skilled instructors provide expert instruction in this great martial art method.
Lakeland Karate dedicates itself to teaching not only the proper techniques necessary to master this form of defense but a
"whole body, whole mind" approach. Through our class methods and the skill of our instructors we seek to impart self-confidence,
self-discipline and a sense of respect and responsibility to our students.
Lakeland Karate fosters a family-oriented atmosphere where all are welcome, regardless of age, sex or skill level.
